This Lemon Cream Cheese Brioche Bread Will Melt in Your Mouth!

Ingredients:

For the Brioche Dough:

3 ½ cups (440g) all-purpose flour

¼ cup (50g) sugar

1 packet (7g) instant yeast

½ tsp salt

½ cup (120ml) warm milk

3 large eggs

½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened

For the Cream Cheese Filling:

8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened

¼ cup (50g) sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

Zest of 1 lemon

1 tbsp lemon juice

For the Egg Wash:

1 egg

1 tbsp milk

Instructions:

Make the Dough:

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.

Add warm milk and eggs, mixing until a dough forms.

Gradually add butter and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.

Cover and let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling:

Beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, lemon zest, and lemon juice until smooth.

Assemble the Bread:

Roll out the dough into a rectangle.

Spread the cream cheese filling over the center.

Fold or twist the dough to encase the filling.

Place in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let rise for 30-45 minutes.

Bake:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Brush the top with egg wash.

Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.

Cool & Serve:

Let cool before slicing. Enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee!
