1 cup (150g) green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
1 cup (200g) diced potatoes or sweet potatoes
1 can (14 oz/400g) diced tomatoes, with juice
6 cups (1.5 liters) vegetable broth or chicken broth
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried basil
1 bay leaf
