Golden Crunchy Breaded Mushrooms

Crispy Fried Mushrooms

Ingredients:

500g (1 lb) button mushrooms, cleaned and halved

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Oil for frying

For dipping (optional):

Ranch dressing or garlic aioli

Instructions:

Prepare mushrooms: Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel and cut them in half if they are large.

Set up dredging station:

In one bowl, place the flour.

In a second bowl, beat the eggs.

In a third bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Coat mushrooms:

Dip each mushroom first in flour, then in egg, then in the breadcrumb mixture. Press to coat well.

Fry:

Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the mushrooms in batches until golden brown and crispy (about 3–4 minutes). Don’t overcrowd the pan.

Drain:

Remove mushrooms and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.

Serve:

Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
