Garlic Butter Lemon Shrimp
Ingredients:
500–600 g shrimp (peeled & deveined)
4 tbsp butter
2 tbsp olive oil
4–5 garlic cloves, finely chopped
Juice of 1 lemon
Zest of ½ lemon (optional but delicious)
½ cup chicken broth (or white wine)
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Salt & black pepper to taste
½ tsp paprika (optional)
Pinch of chili flakes (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Shrimp
Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt, pepper, and paprika.
2. Sear the Shrimp
Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a large pan.
Add shrimp in one layer.
Cook 1–2 minutes per side until they turn pink and slightly golden.
Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.
3. Make the Sauce
In the same pan:
Add remaining butter.
Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds (don’t brown it).
Pour in chicken broth or white wine.
Add lemon juice and zest.
Let it simmer 2–3 minutes to thicken slightly.
4. Combine
Return the shrimp to the pan and toss gently in the sauce.
Cook 1 minute more.
5. Finish
Sprinkle with chopped parsley and black pepper.
Taste and adjust lemon/salt.
